METROPOLITAN DETROIT CSI ELECTION OF DIRECTORS FOR FY2011
|
NOTE:
YOUR MEMBERSHIP NUMBER MUST BE ON YOUR BALLOT,
WHETHER PRINTED OR ON-LINE, TO BE COUNTED.
Candidates:
The Candidates nominated for election to the Board of Directors:
Donald Bauman CSI, AIA, MAI, LEED-AP
Over the past year, I have served as the President of the Construction Specification
Institute's Metro Detroit Chapter. With continued support and re-election to the Board of
Directors, I plan to extend my position as President through 2011. The Board has
accomplished a lot this year, but there still remain challenges ahead of us in 2011. Listed
are a few key attributes that exemplify my commitment to CSI and the industry as a
whole: I am a registered architect in the State of Michigan; I currently serve as the
Manager of Specifications for Albert Kahn Associates, Inc.; I have over 30 years of
experience within the construction and architectural industry; I am serving as the
Secretary for AIA Detroit Board of Directors, Building Enclosure Council; I am a member of
the Masonry Institute of Michigan, Greater Wall Committee; I am looking forward to the
opportunity to continue serving you and the CSI Metro Detroit Chapter. I welcome your
support.
Paul Manion
I am a product representative for Laurence Smith Window & Door/ Marvin Design Gallery.
I have been providing windows in southeast Michigan for almost 15 years. I have been a
member of CSI since August 2008. I acquired my CDT designation in September 2008. I
have been on the Metro Detroit Chapter board since March 2009. I joined CSI to meet
other industry professionals so that I could learn from their wisdom to gain a better
understanding of the overall construction process. I enjoy the variety of the monthly
meetings with a great balance of product presentations and tours. I look forward to
another term on the board of this “Outstanding Chapter.”
David C. Paterson
With nearly 45 years of experience as an architect in professional practice, David Paterson
brings to the Board of CSI insight and perspective that hopefully serves the Detroit Metro
Chapter in a professional manner. He has been a board member for ten years and also
serves a past president. Presently he acts as student liaison to Lawrence Technical
University where he is teaching Architectural Acoustics as an adjunct professor. He is
interested in promoting the accumulated knowledge and wisdom of CSI members.
Frank Reed
Frank Reed has been with National Gypsum Company, Charlotte, N.C. for the last 30
years. He is currently the Southeast Michigan Territory Manager for the Gold Bond,
ProForm, and Permabase Brand products manufactured by National Gypsum Company. He
has been a member of the Metro Detroit Chapter of CSI for a little over two years, helping
out most recently the Continuing Education and Golf Outing Committees. Frank is
interested in getting involved to help the association reach its goals and objectives for its
membership.
Brian J. Tognetti, RA, CSI, CDT, CCCA
Mr. Tognetti, professionally schooled at Lawrence Technological University and the
University of Michigan, is a licensed architect in the states of Michigan, Indiana, and
Tennessee. Prior to joining Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) in April 2004, Mr.
Tognetti was significantly involved in projects such as Ford Field, Comerica Park, Visteon
Village, the Detroit Lions and Headquarters Facility, Central Michigan University’s Football
Stadium expansion, and the Kalamazoo Public Library. Mr. Tognetti is now a Senior
Associate with WJE performing architectural investigations and building envelope related
work. He has been an active member with CSI since July 2005. He has served as a Board
Member for CSI’s Metropolitan Detroit Chapter and, since July 2007, has served as chapter
Treasurer. In addition to CSI, Mr. Tognetti is also an associate member of the Southeast
Michigan Building Officials and Inspectors Association (SEMBOIA), a professional member
of the International Code Council, serves as Vice-Chairperson of the American Institute of
Architects (AIA) Detroit, Building Codes and Regulations Committee, and is a member of
AIA Detroit’s Building Enclosure Council.
