Job Opening: ASSISTANT SPECIFICATIONS WRITER at WTW Architects

Description - What we are looking for:
ASSISTANT SPECIFICATIONS WRITER
Experience:  prefer 5-10 years in an architectural office.
Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture a preference; architectural license a plus.

Consideration will also be given to young professionals who have a strong interest in building
materials and technical aspects of construction and who are interested in pursuing a specialist
position.

Responsibilities: Review architectural drawings to identify scope and content for specifications.
Assist project teams in selection of materials and methods.  Prepare written technical
specifications using office masters and commercial specifications writing software.  Coordinate
contents of the Project Manual.  Coordinate specifications with drawings.  Be a resource
professional to the project teams.  Maintain office master specifications and resource library.
An important aspect of the position will be gaining and understanding of Revit and eSpecs for
Revit as the firm transitions to eSpecs for Revit during that last quarter of 2008.

Requirements:  You must be a multi-tasker who has strong organizational and word processing
skills, reliable, conscientious, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Construction administration experience a plus. CDT certificate and knowledge of CSI formats is
preferred. CCS Certification is a plus.
